About Peregrine
What services does Peregrine Search & Succession provide?
Peregrine specializes in leadership placement for hospitals, healthcare systems, ambulatory surgical centers (ASCs), and similar facilities across the entire U.S. Our services include interim leadership, permanent executive search, and succession planning. We also provide personalized recruiting on a national scale, with flat-fee pricing for transparency.
How does the Interim-to-Permanent model work?
We place an interim leader quickly to stabilize operations while conducting a national search for the permanent hire. If the interim turns out to be the right long-term fit, there’s no additional placement fee.
What is the zero-fee permanent conversion model?
If a Peregrine-placed interim leader is hired permanently, clients don’t pay anything extra. The conversion is included in the original flat-fee agreement.
How is Peregrine different from traditional search firms?
We use flat-fee pricing instead of percentage-based fees and keep our search volume intentionally low so we can focus fully on each placement. We prioritize long-term fit over short-term metrics and conduct in-person client visits to better understand culture and environment.
What does Peregrine mean by “high integrity” placements?
We only present candidates we believe are a strong match. We’re not trying to “close a deal”, we’re trying to make the right one. If a search is canceled or underperforms, fees are refundable or creditable toward another search.
How does Peregrine approach relationship-building?
We invest in long-term connections with both clients and candidates. We keep communication honest and consistent and stay in touch before, during, and after placements.
How does Peregrine approach diversity in its searches?
Every search is a diversity search. We’re intentional about reaching out to a wide range of qualified candidates. Every
search is a diversity search. We’re intentional about reaching out to a wide range of qualified candidates, based on merit. We seek to elevate opportunities for all minorities, people of color, LGBTQ+, veterans, women, and others not represented in this list. We focus on the match between candidate & client.

needs, and logistics. Peregrine handles all logistics—including travel, housing, credentialing, and clearance—with no extra admin fees.
How long does a permanent search take?
Most searches take 60–90 days, depending on the complexity of the role, client availability, and the speed of the decision making process.

We provide continued support. If the issue occurs within the guarantee window, we’ll conduct a replacement search at no additional fee. Our placements are guaranteed for the first full year.
What is Peregrine’s pricing model?
We use flat-fee pricing based on the midpoint of the salary range, which is agreed upon at the beginning of the search.
There are no commission-based or percentage fees. You’ll know exactly what the search will cost up front.
How does Peregrine help with succession planning?
We assist healthcare organizations with planning for leadership transitions—whether that’s identifying internal talent or preparing for external searches—so change happens smoothly and intentionally. Interim leaders often help identify and train internal talent.
Can Peregrine support different types of healthcare facilities?
Yes. We work with a variety of care settings—from larger academic medical health systems to smaller community and
rural based hospitals and ASCs. We tailor our search process to each organization’s structure and needs.
How do you make sure a candidate is a cultural fit?
We ask thoughtful questions and listen closely. We look beyond resumes to understand values, communication styles, and leadership philosophy—then match those with what we’ve learned about your team. We also meet with clients in person to better understand the culture.
